Tulipa 'Roi du Midi'

The 'Roi du Midi' Tulip, introduced in 1991 in the Netherlands, belongs to the Liliaceae family. It can reach a height of 60 to 70cm (24 to 28in) when in bloom, depending on growing conditions. Perched on tall stems well above the lanceolate leaves in a green-grey colour, the flowers are elongated, elegant, thick in substance, and long-lasting in bouquets.
