Description

The Japanese Spiraea 'Albiflora' is a bush with beautiful white abundant flowering, to be used in mass plantings or as a standalone specimen.

The Spiraea is a clump forming bush. Its stems are upright, reaching 60cm (24in) in height and 90cm (35in) in spread. This hardy bush has deciduous, ovate, and distinctly dentate leaves measuring 7 to 12cm (3 to 5in) long. They are pale green and have a greyish-green underside. In July-August, spherical white flowers appear, carried by terminal corymbs measuring 5 to 10cm (2 to 4in) in diameter.

The spiraea is native to China and Japan, and it is easy to cultivate. It prefers fertile and well-drained soils, but it can adapt perfectly to poor and dry soils. The Spiraea japonica 'Albiflora' can be planted in full sun, but it can also thrive in partial shade, resulting in slightly less abundant flowering.

Delivered in a large 2L pot

Advantages: Unusually resistant to diseases and pests for a member of the Rosaceae family.

Advice: Pair it with Globemaster or Christophii alliums for their pompom-like flowers, and perennial geraniums with blue-violet flowers.
