Description
Potentilla fruticosa 'Abbotswood' is a deciduous shrub that produces a mass of white flowers with yellow hearts, measuring 3 cm to 4 cm (1.2 in to 1.6 in). The flowers complement the beautiful green foliage, which is reminiscent of a strawberry bush.
It is ideal for creating a colourful mound in a flower bed.
Its abundant and long-lasting flowering, from June to September, and its robustness are appreciated in low hedges, flower beds, or mixed borders.
With a compact habit, it requires no maintenance.

Planting and care
Plant in a perfectly sunny location in neutral to limestone well-drained soil. It can even tolerate rocky soil. It is perfectly hardy and tolerates both frost and drought well, but will flower more abundantly if the soil retains some moisture. You can cut back the stems after flowering, and prune it in spring, in March or April.
