Description

Anemone x hybrida 'Serenade' is a particularly vigorous hybrid, with semi-double flowers with 14 narrow petals in a soft pink colour. It flowers from August to October.

Japanese Serenade anemone is easy to grow. A typical cottage garden plant, it pairs well with Cimicifugas 'White Pearl' and 'Atropurpurea'.

Use the cut stems bearing dry-looking seed capsules to create winter bouquets. Pop the stems in a vase; white flowers will appear after 2 hours at room temperature.

Planting and care

Plant it in dry to moist soil in a not too hot exposure, avoiding limestone soils that it does not tolerate well. It tolerates the sun in humus-bearing soil but prefers partial shade. It adapts well to planting at the base of trees that provide it with moisture and helps it to flourish.
