10 young plants ordered, 6 in one neck on the 2nd neck never arrived, shipment rescheduled but due to Covid, refund for the 4 missing ones, the 6 planted ones had a good recovery, a small flowering, and then one after the others, they all died despite being taken care of, watered... but not a single one survived.

Description

The perennial Geranium endressii 'Beholder's Eye' makes remarkable ground cover thanks to its unparalleled robustness, exceptional vigour, and its delicate dentate flowers, a purple-pink colour illuminated at the heart with a white-greenish hue, which bloom repeatedly from late spring until the first frost. This plant will undoubtedly thrive in all gardens, subject to the whims of nature and requiring no maintenance.

Geranium endressii belongs to the Geraniaceae family. It is native to the Pyrenees, where it is found in wet or marshy areas. The 'Beholder's Eye' variety is particularly floriferous. It is a rhizomatous and trailing plant, which over time forms impressive carpets reaching a height of 40 cm (16in). Flowering begins in June, slows down in August, and then resumes in September, ending with the first severe cold spell. This perennial geranium presents an abundance of small dark purple-pink flowers, greenish-white at the heart, in open cups, darkening with age. It is an evergreen plant in mild climates, semi-evergreen elsewhere. The leaves are dark green, shiny, simple, and opposite. They are palmate, petiolate with a dentate edge, with palmate veins. Their length is approximately 20 to 30 centimeters (8 to 12 inches). This plant spreads through rhizomes and can become invasive, but it suppresses weeds.

Geranium endressii thrives equally well in the sun or shade, although it blooms slightly less in shade. It is not afraid of the roots of other plants and shrubs, colonises difficult slopes, and grows in all types of soil, even limestone and/or clayey soils. Feel free to prune it after the summer flowering; it will be even more floriferous in autumn. Its only enemy is drought. For weekend and wild gardens, for the back of a garden bordering the countryside, and for contemplative gardeners, Geranium endressii 'Beholder's Eye' is a real boon. If you are tired of mowing the lawn, cleaning around hedges, and want to cover the ground under shrubs, install and multiply this plant to your heart's content.
