Asters are perennial flowers, from the Asteraceae family, from which they derive their name. They come in a wide variety of species and varieties with multiple colours: white, pink, blue, purple or violet. They are all highly resistant and very floriferous. These plants, whether from spring, summer or autumn, thrive in sunny locations with well-drained and light soil. Hybrids, such as Aster dumosus, novae-angliae or novi-belgii, will benefit from being divided every 2-3 years to regenerate the stump and protect them from powdery mildew.
