Description

Hacquetia epipactis is a beautiful little perennial forming a rosette of small, round, deeply lobed leaves. At the end of the short stalks, a small ball of yellow flowers appears. Each flower ball is surrounded by a crown of pale green leaves. This unappreciated plant deserves a spot in the garden to enjoy its unique flowering.

Originally from damp limestone woods, this unique plant is used as a ground cover in spring at the base of small bushes such as azaleas, or in partial shade with perennial plants like epimedium, pulmonaria, and dicentra.
