Description
Karma Strawberry Cream F1 Pansy seeds produce plants with a compact, upright habit, adorned with large flowers in delicate shades blending strawberry pink and cream, bringing a touch of softness and elegance to beds, borders and containers. This hybrid variety is distinguished by its early and prolonged flowering, ideal for brightening outdoor spaces from early spring through summer. It has good cold resistance and tolerates light frosts, offering superior outdoor performance. It thrives in full sun or partial shade, in well-drained, humus-rich soil, with consistent moisture but not too wet. Sow from February to April for summer flowering or from June to August for flowering the following spring.
Karma Strawberry Cream F1 Large-flowered Garden Pansy, also known as Swiss Violet, Violet, Erpetion or Swiss Giant Pansy, is a hybrid cultivar of Viola × wittrockiana, belonging to the Violaceae family. This cultivar was developed by Syngenta Flowers. Pansies are the result of complex cross-breeding between several Viola species, notably Viola tricolor, Viola lutea and Viola altaica, native to Europe and temperate Asia, where they grow naturally in meadows and wooded areas. Karma Strawberry Cream F1 is distinguished by its large flowers with gradient shades of strawberry pink and cream, with slightly wavy petals. Flowering extends from early spring through summer. The plant has a compact, well-branched habit, reaching a height of 10 to 15 cm and a spread of 15 to 20 cm, both in the ground and in pots. Its growth is moderate, with a cultivation time of about 12 weeks for autumn flowering. The foliage is formed of deciduous, ovate leaves with scalloped edges, in a bright green colour. The stems are short, sturdy and slightly hairy. The root system is shallow and sensitive to excess moisture, requiring well-drained soil. The flowers of Viola × wittrockiana are edible and can be used to decorate dishes, particularly desserts and salads.
The Karma Strawberry Cream F1 Pansy evokes a floral, sweet, a touch of delicacy that naturally finds its place in a charming garden or a spring balcony display. In a border with low-growing perennials or in an enamelled pot in soft tones, it creates a subtle dialogue with early blooms. It can be paired with the mossy foliage of lady's mantle, the fresh tones of forget-me-not or the velvety brilliance of white cyclamen. It is a beautiful but subtle plant.

Planting and care
Sowing schedule for Karma Strawberry Cream F1 Pansies: sow from February to April for summer flowering, or from June to August for flowering the following spring.
In a tray filled with good seed compost, bury the seeds to a depth of 1.5 mm and cover, for example with a sheet of newspaper, as darkness is beneficial for germination. Maintain a temperature between 15 and 18°C while keeping the soil moist. Germination takes between 14 and 21 days. Be careful of temperatures that are too high, as they can prevent germination.
When the seedlings are developed enough to be handled, transplant them into pots and allow your young plants to develop by gradually acclimatising them to outdoor conditions over about two weeks. Plant your Pansies in the garden, 25/30 cm apart, in sun or partial shade.

Hardiness is the lowest winter temperature a plant can endure without suffering serious damage or even dying. However, hardiness is affected by location (a sheltered area, such as a patio), protection (winter cover) and soil type (hardiness is improved by well-drained soil).
