Planting and care

This Lily likes to be in full sun with its base in the shade. Plant it 10 cm (4in) deep in fertile, well-drained soil enriched with compost. Keep the soil moist but not wet. It will prefer acidic soil. They like the winter cold which helps them to root. Be careful of spring frost that can damage young shoots. Lilies are very well suited for container gardening. Plant 1 to 5 bulbs in a deep pot. Water lightly and place your pots in a frost-free area. Bring them out in spring onto your terraces to enjoy them fully.
