Tulipa crispa 'Néglige'

The 'Neglige' Dentate Tulip is a beautiful novelty, still unavailable in the horticultural trade, offering a very seductive late flowering. In April-May, it reveals its flowers formed of fresh pink petals, with delicately fringed edges of intense pink-red. They are carried by sturdy stems that withstand the wind. The 'Neglige' Dentate Tulip belongs to the lily family. Of horticultural origin, it is currently classified in the 'Crispa' group, whose main characteristic is the finely dentate tips of the petals. This tulip will reach a height of 40 to 45cm (16 to 18in) when in bloom. Flowering takes place in April-May, slightly towards the end of the tulip season. The flowers are single, a tender pink with fringed edges of bright pink-red, shaped like small crystals. The flowers last a long time in the garden and in a vase, allowing you to extend the tulip season until May. The foliage is broad, with a soft green colour that is slightly greyish.
