Very delicate colour. Plant in large quantities if possible." Analysis: - "Planter" is translated as "plant" in British English, as it refers to the action of planting. - "Quantité" is translated as "quantities" in British English, as it refers to a plural form. - The phrase "si possible" is translated as "if possible" in British English, maintaining the same meaning and tone. The translated text is grammatically correct and maintains the same meaning and tone as the original French text.

Description

The 'Honky Tonk' clusiana Tulip has the particularity of flowering from February to May. Its cream-yellow flowers open completely in star shapes to reveal a golden yellow heart. The 5-8cm (2-3in) diameter flowers have 6 pointed tepals and very dark stamens.

The flowering attracts bees, butterflies, and birds. It is accompanied by silver-greyish green foliage. At maturity, the 'Honky Tonk' tulip can reach a height of 25 to 30cm (10 to 12in). This botanical tulip has excellent hardiness. The clusiana tulip is cultivated in rockeries, flower beds, and borders. You can also place it in pots on your terrace or balcony.

The clusiana tulip originates from the slopes of the mountain in Turkey where winters are cold, springs are rainy, and summers are very hot.

Planting and care

Place the clusiana tulips in a sunny location preferably or partially shaded and sheltered from the wind. Cultivate them from October to December for optimal spring flowering. Plant the bulbs in a well-drained and deeply loosened soil at a depth of 15cm (6in). Space the bulbs 10 cm (4in) apart without touching them to create a mass effect; cut the flower stems after flowering. Allow the leaves to dry completely before cutting them. Tulips do not like stagnant moisture.
