The hyacinths have come out nicely. The rest didn't produce anything. It's a shame, the expected effect is still awaited.

Description

A beautiful assortment of exquisitely fragrant spring-flowering bulbs. The soft pink spikes of the 'Fondant' hyacinth blend perfectly with those of the purple 'Woodstock' variety, enhanced by the cobalt blue of the 'Dark Eyes' grape hyacinth and the pure white of the 'White Splendour' anemone. Plant them together in borders, as well as in pots and containers. They will easily naturalise in favourable conditions.

This collection consists of:

- 5x 'Fondant' Hyacinth: a highly fragrant variety with spikes of soft pink and pure wax-like flowers. Excellent vase life.

- 5x 'Woodstock' Hyacinth: a stunning purplish shade, between pink and violet. Dense and highly fragrant spikes.

- 15x Muscari x armeniacum 'Dark Eyes': a hybrid variety with small flowers, deep cobalt blue at the beginning of flowering, with a white ring at ripeness. Honey-scented and slightly fragrant. Blooms in March-April.

- 15x 'White Splendour' Anemone: a delightful spring anemone with bright white flowers and a light yellow centre. Self-seeds in light soils.

Planting and care

Plant the bulbs in autumn, from September to December, at a depth of 5-10cm (2-4in). Planting should be done in ordinary soil, slightly acidic, neutral, or slightly alkaline, loose, well-worked, and well-drained. Never add undecomposed manure or compost to the planting soil, as this could cause the bulbs to rot. Place the bulbs in a good location, either sunny or partially shaded.
