Description

There are only three species and many lovely varieties in this genus, which is fabulous for cool and moist regions. It self-seeds here and there in the damp and rich clay-loam soil. Suitable for any rich, damp to moist soil. The small flowers are an intense blue colour, similar to those of forget-me-nots. They form a light cloud above the emerging foliage. Pruning the faded stems promotes the growth of new, much larger and long-lasting decorative leaves.

A superb variety with leaves spotted with white and pale green. Blue flowers. Beware, direct sunlight that burns the white parts of the foliage. The best exposure is west-facing.
