Description

This Mix of Edible Flowers is composed of Borage (with its slightly iodine taste), Nasturtiums (sweet flavoured leaves and peppery flowers), Marigolds (radish taste), plus Cornflowers, Indian Carnations and Edible Chrysanthemums. These flowers can be consumed fresh or dried, in salads or as a garnish to flavour dishes. Sowing from April to July. Harvest from May to October.

Depending on the variety, edible flowers and herbs can be used to add a colourful touch to salads, flavour all kinds of dishes, or even decorate pastries. An easy to grow selection that will bring the pleasure always having a fresh assortment available, grown naturally in your own garden or planter.

Harvest: As needed, harvest the desired flowers.

Storage: Once harvested, the flowers should be consumed within the day. You can also dry them, during periods of high production or at the end of the season, if you don't want to use everything at once. Spread them on a towel in the open air. Once dried, place them in jars or envelopes, away from light.

These organic or "BIO" seeds come from plants grown in organic farming (without the use of phytosanitary products). They undergo no treatment after harvest. These seeds are suitable for organic market gardening.

Planting and care

Sowing:

Sowing is done from March to June, directly in open ground, at a temperature around 20°C (68°F). Sow thinly by mixing the seeds with fine sand on finely worked soil, then lightly cover the sowing by raking. Sowing is also possible in pots or planters, remember to adjust the quantity of seeds to the container so that all varieties have enough space to grow.

Maintenance:

This Flower Mix requires little maintenance. Remember to water regularly, especially during periods of high heat.
