This 60gsm non-woven polypropylene winter cover provides good thermal insulation while allowing light to filter through. It has a texture and flexibility reminiscent of a white honeycomb fabric, but it is a non-biodegradable material that has been treated to resist UV rays from the sun for a few months. It protects against bad weather and creates a favourable microclimate, maintaining the heat accumulated during the day around the plant. Because it is large and wide, it is easy to put on the plant, simply by sliding it from the top. Its permeable texture ensures good air circulation, which limits the accumulation of moisture produced by evergreen foliage that continues to breathe in winter. Rainwater also partially infiltrates to the plant, thus avoiding excessive drying of the potting soil for plants grown in pots. Polypropylene is a material largely derived from the recycling of other products.

Directions for use This pop-up winter cover made of non-woven polypropylene provides effective winter protection for all deciduous and even evergreen plants, grown in pots outdoors or in open ground. It can be easily set up in autumn on the plant: simply slip it on from the top, then tie it with a cord at the base of the plant. Also, consider protecting the pot with bubble wrap or winter fleece arranged in multiple layers. You can ventilate it in good weather, when it's not freezing, and then put the cover back on before temperatures drop. Watering is often necessary in winter, especially for evergreen or mild climate plants: always water in mild weather, preferably in the middle of the day, at the base of the plants.
