Description

The Skimmia japonica 'Kew Green' is a beautiful small bush, very compact, with highly fragrant flowers.

The skimmia japonica 'Kew Green' is an evergreen bush. Its foliage is dark green, shiny and dense resembling bay leaves. Its habit is rounded, compact and very sturdy, it won't exceed 50cm (20in) to 1 meter. Its flowering appears in April-May in the form of small white flowers, which in bud form are green. The flowers are highly fragrant.

This bush doesn't like drought and isn't picky about the type of soil, but it should be placed sheltered from drafts.

To be paired with cyclamen, bergenias or erysimums, for stunning mixtures of flowers and foliage.
