Second attempt (the one purchased in 2022 didn't take), the rose bush received seems healthy. Planted in the ground along the edge of a path, close to a wall, I'm now patiently waiting for it to establish... (or not?).

Description
The Bush 'Xenia' from the Patio Rose collection is a variety of the German rose breeder Kordes awarded many times*, as it possesses ornamental qualities. With a flowering as generous as it is brightly coloured, it has a wide habit, semi-trailing, which perfectly showcases its garlands of very pink flowers with a subtle fragrance. This bush is adorned with beautiful dark green foliage that is resistant to diseases. Its resplendent flowering renews itself from May until the frosts, without losing its brilliance in the sun. It works wonders as groundcover, in a border, or in a pot on the balcony.
The Rosa x floribunda 'Xenia' was introduced to the market by the rose breeder Kordes Rosen in 2020. This pretty creation is part of a series of roses, the 'Patio Rose' selected in partnership with 'Globe Planter' for their floribundity and excellent adaptation to pot culture. Xenia is characterised by a spread-out, bushy, well-branched habit. This bush reaches about 50-60 cm (20-24in) in height and 70-80 cm (28-32in) in spread. Its thorny stems bear dark green leaves, divided into 5 finely toothed leaflets on the edges, glossy, very resistant to diseases. The young shoots are coppery to purplish. Its flowering is early and long-lasting, it tirelessly renews itself from May to October if the soil remains moist. The flowers are semi-double cups with 15 to 20 petals, 4 to 5 cm (2in) in diameter, gathered in terminal clusters of 15 to 20 units. Their colour is a deep pink. The deciduous foliage falls in autumn.

Floribunda roses allow for the creation of beautiful small hedges, planted in a mix at the edge of the patio, along a pathway or in small shrub borders. Combine them with dwarf abelias, Mexican oranges, or bluebeards for example. They are good companions for phlox and perennial geraniums. This 'Xenia' Patio Rose will be highlighted when planted in groups of three, forming an extremely bright bush. For example, it can be surrounded by catmints and perennial salvias with blue, violet, pink, mauve, or white flowers. It can also be combined with groundcover roses, baby's breath, or lavenders. Very hardy, it requires little maintenance and thrives in full sun or partial shade. It will delight all gardeners, beginners or experienced.

Planting and care
Plant Patio Rose Xenia from November to March, n ordinary, well-prepared, and well-drained soil. Roses prefer clay soils that are rather heavy than light. In soils that are too sandy, compact, or dry in summer, it is preferable to incorporate compost, decomposed manure, or humjus at the bottom of the planting hole. However, this rose dislikes waterlogged soils in winter. Place it in a sunny location, preferably in partial shade. Roses are hungry plants, and a specific fertiliser application will be beneficial at the start of vegetation, and regularly throughout the flowering period.
To encourage reblooming, regularly remove faded old flowers. Floribunda rose varieties are more vigorous and floriferous than large-flowered rose varieties. Therefore, prune the stems by about a quarter of their length (from 4 to 6 buds from the base of the stem) in late winter. Always prune above an outward-facing bud to allow the bush to bush out and prevent the branches from tangling in the centre of the branches.

Hardiness is the lowest winter temperature a plant can endure without suffering serious damage or even dying. However, hardiness is affected by location (a sheltered area, such as a patio), protection (winter cover) and soil type (hardiness is improved by well-drained soil).
In temperate climates, pruning of spring-flowering shrubs (forsythia, spireas, etc.) should be done just after flowering.
Pruning of summer-flowering shrubs (Indian Lilac, Perovskia, etc.) can be done in winter or spring.
In cold regions as well as with frost-sensitive plants, avoid pruning too early when severe frosts may still occur.

- In the inland hills and plateaus (Wicklow Mountains, Macgillycuddy’s Reeks, Connemara, Killarney), it is best to plant in spring (April–May) or autumn (September–October), avoiding periods of waterlogged soil in winter and strong winds, which pose the main risk to newly planted trees in these areas.
