Thanks to the individuals (Laeticia for order preparation and Aline from the shipping department), the bare-root rose bush I received appears to be healthy. Planted near the climbing rose "Invictus," I am now patiently waiting for it to take root...or not?" Analysis of the translated text: - The translation accurately reflects the meaning and context of the original text. - The specific research area is not mentioned in the original text, so no translation is needed. - The word "nu" is translated as "bare" in the context of "racines nues" (bare-root). - The word "racine" is translated as "root" in the context of "rosier en racines nues" (bare-root rose bush). - The expressions "Mis en terre" and "j'attends maintenant patiemment la reprise" are translated as "Planted" and "I am now patiently waiting for it to take root," respectively. - The phrase "(ou pas ?)" is translated as "or not?" to maintain the same tone as the original text.

More information

A remarkable ground cover rose, exceptionally floriferous and with good repeat flowering from June to October. This low and wide bush with a slightly trailing habit is covered in small single pink flowers with white centres, gathered in large clusters. The flowers give way to lovely hips in autumn. Its small, dark green leaves are very healthy. It is very hardy and easy to grow, it has a beautiful vigour: two plants are enough to cover one square metre.

Description

Rosa Robe Fleurie ground cover rose bush is known for its exceptional floribundance. This low and wide, vigorous bush has naturally charming large clusters of pink flowers with white centres, very welcoming to bees. Its vigour, the good health of its small dark foliage, and the little attention and care it requires are also assets. If not pruned from August onwards, its faded flowers will form small decorative hips at the end of the season. This rose bush works wellin front of taller shrub beds, in large borders, along pathways...

The flowers of the Robe Fleurie rose bush are gathered in large clusters the same as the polyantha rose, an old hybrid from the Rosa multiflora and the Rosa chinensis. This excellent variety from Lens Roses was introduced in 1995. Its qualities were rewarded with a Second prize at the Paris Landscape Contest in 1998. This small bush with thorny stems has a bushy, spreading, slightly trailing habit, wider than it is tall. It will reach about 45 cm (18in) high with a spread of 70-80 cm (28-32in) in a few years. The single flowers, 5 cm (2in) in size, are light pink with white centres, gathered in large clusters. After the first wave of flowers in June, the stems continue to grow and will have new clusters of flowers. The flowering season repeats until October if the soil remains moist. This particularly vigorous and highly disease-resistant variety develops dense, deciduous foliage, divided into small dark green leaflets with a satin-like texture, that falls in autumn.

The 'Robe Fleurie' rose will grow in all soils that are not too dry and in all climates, which allows it to be grown in many regions. It works well in borders, flower beds, or on a large slope where it will cover the ground. It can also be planted in groups of 3, arranged in a triangle, or as a standalone plant on a lawn. Plant it en masse or alongside pink ground cover roses (Maman Turbat, Mirato, The Fairy) or white ones (Swany, Escimo) to highlight the layout of a pathway or a shrub bed. It pairs well with many perennials in an English-style garden: peonies, iris, tall phlox, salvias, mulleins... or old-fashioned roses with opulent flowers in shades of purple, white, or pink. 'Robe Fleurie' will also form a lovely composition with the Blue River herbaceous clematis.

Planting and care

Roses prefer a sunny location (at least 4 to 5 hours of sunlight per day), but sheltered from the scorching midday rays and strong winds. They like loose, permeable, and rich soil. They thrive in any garden as long as the soil is well-worked and sufficiently deep. To plant your Rose, dig the soil to a depth of 25 cm³, break up the soil well, and place a base fertiliser such as bonemeal in the bottom of the hole. Remove your rose from its pot and position, covering the top of the root ball with 3 cm (1in) of soil. Fill in and water generously to eliminate any air pockets. In dry weather, continue watering for a few weeks to aid root growth. Provide your rose with special rose fertiliser to stimulate plant flowering.

Roses are often stained or unsightly at the end of summer, but this is not a problem for their development. These stains are not harmful to the rose; it is a natural phenomenon.
