Description
The Groundcover Rose Pink Double Knock Out® 'Radtkopink' is a highly resilient and easy-to-grow landscape rose. It offers early, long-lasting flowering, tirelessly producing charming small, bright pink, ruffled flowers. Forming a lush, floriferous cushion, it adorns gardens or patios with minimal care. The Pink Double Knock Out® 'Radtkopink' rose is part of the Knock Out® series renowned for its abundant flowering and exceptional disease resistance. This variety was discovered by Jerome A. Lavallee, Jason N. Brown, and David F. Cockcroft and introduced to the market in 2007. This rose belongs to the horticultural group of floribunda roses characterised by their clustered flowers and continuous flowering. The 'Pink Double Knock Out' is a natural mutation of the Double Knock Out® cultivar.
This rose has a bushy, spreading, and well-branched habit, reaching an average height and spresad of 90 cm to 1.20 m. With its 25 bright pink petals, its double flowers measure 7 to 8 cm in diameter. They exude a very light fragrance and bloom continuously from May to October-November. Flowering stops with frosts or during very dry summers. The foliage is dense and dark green, while the young shoots have a purplish hue. The stems bear typical rose thorns. The foliage is deciduous, dropping before winter and reappearing the following spring.
The Pink Double Knock Out® 'Radtkopink' rose brings a vibrant splash of colour to gardens or patios for many months. Knock Out® roses have many uses: edging short grass lawns, flower beds, slopes, topping low walls, or containers. They thrive in all soil types, in sunny or partially shaded positions (3 hours of sunlight per day is sufficient), and their qualities have earned them numerous awards. To complement the Pink Double Knock Out® ‘Radtkopink’ rose, consider pairing it with a shrubby sage 'Blue Note', a large white landscape rose with single flowers ‘Sally Holmes’, and a shrubby cinquefoil ‘Pink Paradise’.

Planting and care
To plant your Pink Double Knock Out rose, prepare the soil by working it to a depth of 30 cm x 30 cm, breaking up any clumps and adding an amendment such as dried blood or dehydrated horn at the bottom of the planting hole. Create a small mound of earth at the base of the hole. Position your plant in the hole and check the depth: the graft point should be just above ground level. Backfill and gently firm down as you go. Prune the branches back to 15/20 cm to encourage regrowth. Form a shallow basin around the base of the rose and water thoroughly with a fine spray to eliminate any air pockets and help the soil adhere to the roots. In very cold regions, it may be helpful to mulch with leaves or turf to a depth of 20 cm around the base of your plants. In summer, removing faded flowers will encourage new blooms. Naturally disease-resistant, This variety does not require fungicidal treatments.
