Thank you to Ludivine for the order preparation and Sandie from the shipping department. The rose bush received is healthy. Planted close to the "Fragrant Old Purple" variety, I am now patiently waiting for it to take root... (or not?).

Description

The Generosa 'Elodie Gossuin' Rose bush is a very beautiful fragrant bush. The flowers appear from June to October and have the scent of citrus and fruits (lemon, grapefruit, raspberry, blackcurrant, muscat and cider). The flowering is abundant and provides large double flowers with a crumpled paper look. The flowers are dark pink in colour.

This rose has deciduous bluish-green foliage. It is very perpetual. With good hardiness, it is very healthy. The 'Elodie Gossuin' rose bush can reach a height of 80cm (32in) at maturity. Place it in a bed or in isolation; you can even cultivate it in a pot.

When cut, its old-fashioned flowers will make beautiful bouquets that will release their scent of citrus and fruits in your home.

Planting and care

Roses prefer a sunny location (at least 4 to 5 hours of sun per day) but sheltered from the scorching midday rays and strong winds. They appreciate loose, permeable, deep, and fertile soils. They prefer a neutral to slightly acidic soil, but will adapt to any garden as long as the soil is well worked and sufficiently rich. To plant your rose in a pot, work the soil to a depth of 25 cm (10in) by crumbling the soil and placing a basal amendment such as dried blood or dehydrated horn, position your seedling in the hole by covering the top of the root ball with 3 cm (1in) of soil, fill in and water generously to remove air pockets. In dry weather, it is necessary to water regularly for a few weeks to facilitate rooting. Also, remember to provide your rose with special rose fertiliser that stimulates plant flowering. Prune the branches by one third each spring.
