Description
The Decorosier CALIZIA rose bush noa97400A, classified in the category of landscape roses, is an excellent rose bush capable of forming magnificent groundcover due to its low, very dense, and well-covering habit. Solid and floriferous, it provides an exceptional, almost evergreen decoration, requires very little maintenance, and offers a long uninterrupted flowering period from May until the first frost. Its semi-double flowers, grouped in bouquets, display a rich orange colour with salmon and apricot nuances in a gradation. Highly appreciated by urban landscapers, and very resilient, it is well suited for informal beds in our gardens, in the company of simple perennials or shrubs with colourful foliage.
The 'Calizia' rose is classified as a modern, bushy, and landscape rose. Its flowers come from the Polyantha rose, an old hybrid resulting from Rosa multiflora and Rosa chinensis. The plant forms a very dense bush 70 to 80 cm (28 to 32in) in height, forming a slightly spreading dome about 90 cm (35in) to 1 m (3ft) wide, depending on the growing conditions. Its flowering is abundant and regular from May to October-November if it is regularly pruned and provided with enough water. The semi-double flowers are gathered in bouquets of about ten units, and they are 4-5 cm (2in) wide. The tightly closed buds, of a garnet red colour, open into open cups, revealing a small centre of yellow stamens. Their colour changes from a deep orange at opening to a salmon pink, ending in pale pink tones. The scent of this rose is almost absent. The plant will keep its leaves more or less in winter if the weather is not too harsh.
The DECOROSIERS are bushy rose bushes with a spreading habit. They can be used in various ways: lawn borders, beds, slopes, or containers. They can be planted in any type of soil, in full sun or partial shade. They offer long exceptional flowerings on healthy, shiny, semi-evergreen foliage. Naturally resistant to diseases, they do not require any treatment.
The Calizia rose is used in beds, borders, large spaces, slopes, or low hedges. It adapts to all soils that are not too wet and all climates. It has vegetation that works wonders on a slope, hiding the ground. When planted en masse, it can also border pathways and highlight flower beds. For example, it can be associated with perennial geraniums (Geranium Blue Cloud, Anne Folkard, Nimbus, Orion), bellflowers (lactiflora, rapunculoides), catmints, lavenders, snapdragons, foxgloves, or other Stachys.

Planting and care
How to plant roses. Work your soil over a 30 cm (12in) x 30 cm (12in) area by crumbling the soil and adding an amendment such as bonemeal at the bottom of the planting hole. Prepare a mound of soil at the bottom of the hole. Prepare a thick mud mixture with water and soil. Dip your plant in the mud to coat the roots and prevent air bubbles (this is called pralinage). Position your plant in the planting hole, spreading out the roots and checking the depth: the graft point should be just above the ground. Fill with soil and gently tamp down. Prune the branches to 15/20 cm (6/8in) to stimulate growth. Create a basin at the base of the roses and water abundantly with a fine mist to eliminate air pockets and ensure the soil adheres to the roots. In very cold regions, it may be useful to mulch with leaves or turf up to 20 cm (8in) at the base of your plants. Decoro roses do not require pruning. However, it is possible to prune them in spring by cutting back the branches by half. In summer, removing faded flowers will stimulate the growth of new flowers. Naturally resistant to diseases, they do not require fungicidal treatments.
Roses are often stained or unsightly at the end of summer, but this is not a problem for their development. These stains are not harmful to the rose; it is a natural phenomenon.
