Description
Silene robotii 'Rollies Favourite', resulting from the cross-breeding between a Lychnis and a Silene, is a compact perennial with bright pink to fluorescent flowers in spring.
This compact and rounded silene reaches a height of 40cm (16in), and quickly develops semi-evergreen, basal, oblong, lanceolate, dark green leaves, 8cm (3in) long. Paniculate fluorescent pink flowers continuously emerge from May to July, standing out well above the leaves.
Silene robotii 'Rollies Favourite' is easy to grow and thrives in rich, moist, and well-drained soil in a sunny or partially shaded location. Beware of attacks from slugs and snails. It grows rapidly to brighten up borders, perennial beds, or containers.
Tips: Remove faded flowers to promote new flowers.

Planting and care
Silene robotii 'Rollies Favourite' is best planted in autumn in moist, rich and well-drained soil, preferably in the sun. Remove faded flowers regularly to ensure a long flowering period. Prune in August to maintain a compact habit. Use organic methods to prevent attacks from slugs and snails. Divide the crown every 4 or 5 years.
