Description
Helleborus x hybridus Anemone White Spotted is a perennial plant with white flowers sprinkled with purple polka dots and a ruffled collar, originating from western Turkey. From January to March, a bouquet of single flowers forms, measuring 5 to 7 cm (2 to 3in) in diameter. Hellebore is a bushy plant that will brighten up the shaded areas of your garden in winter.
Oriental Hellebore reaches a height of 40 cm (16in) and spreads out to 30 cm (12in) at maturity. It is a hardy plant that can withstand temperatures as low as -15°C (5°F), composed of palmate, slightly dentate, dark green and shiny, evergreen basal leaves, 30 to 40 cm (12 to 16in) long, composed of 7 to 9 leaflets.
Over time, the flowers of the Hellebore do not fade like the majority of other flowers but dry out beautifully. This toxic plant should be handled with caution. It does not like to be moved once established, with young plants taking a little time to bloom. It is suitable for cut flowers and in borders, edges or even containers,...
Each seed-sown hellebore has a unique flower colour: thus slight variations in colour may exist between two plants, this is normal and inevitable. However, if the difference is too significant and alters the desired effect, we will refund or replace the affected plant.

Planting and care
Helleborus Orientalis grows in most soils that are rich and neutral in partial or light shade, sheltered from the wind. Plant from early autumn to spring to bloom from January to March. It thrives in deeply cultivated soil mixed with organic matter. For feed, use bone meal or another organic fertilizer. In acidic soil, add a bit of lime. Water well after planting and add a layer of mulch 2 to 5 cm (1 to 2in) thick. Regularly remove withered leaves. Cut most of the leaves to highlight the flowers. Make sure not to plant the plants too close to each other in order to promote their development. Hellebore does not like stagnant water as it may cause rotting.

Hardiness is the lowest winter temperature a plant can endure without suffering serious damage or even dying. However, hardiness is affected by location (a sheltered area, such as a patio), protection (winter cover) and soil type (hardiness is improved by well-drained soil).
