Description

Doronicum orientale 'Magnificum' is a perennial with early flowering, lighting up gardens in spring with its large lemon-yellow daisies.

This perennial plant forms slowly spreading underground rootstocks and over time, it creates large clumps. Its large lemon-yellow daisy flowers have wider ligulate petals than average, blooming from the month of April and reaching a height of 50cm (20in) on stiff flowering stems.

While easy to grow, Doronicum orientale 'Magnificum' thrives in the sun, in well-drained, moist and rich soil. However, be cautious as the rootstock can sometimes rot in heavy and waterlogged soil. This plant looks stunning when paired with tulips, narcissus, and Caucasian forget-me-nots.
