When you love something, you go back to it! Those ordered last year are covered in flowers, I hope the same for the two little newcomers. Delivered in good condition, we'll see next year.

Description

Dianthus gratianopolitanus 'Eydangeri' is a variety of perennial pink. It takes the form of a small, compact, semi-evergreen, grey-blue cushion. It produces an abundance of highly fragrant magenta-pink flowers. This perennial plant combines strength, frugality, and delicacy. Ideal for rock gardens and walls, in full sun.

'Eydangeri' belongs to the Caryophyllaceae family. It is a cultivar of  Dianthus gratianopolitanus, native to Europe and Asia. This pink's growth is rapid. Its mature size will not exceed 15cm (6in) in height with a spread of 40cm (16in), or more.

Dianthus gratianopolitanus 'Eydangeri' forms a small, spreading clump with a cushion-like habit and a tapetum stump. Its linear, semi-evergreen, and leathery leaves are a beautiful grey-blue. The flowering takes place in May and June, until August if the soil is not too dry. The plant is then covered with small magenta-pink flowers, whose fragrance resembles that of cloves. The flowers appear at the top of usually uniflorous stems.

Plant in well-drained, ordinary, even chalky soil. It thrives in the sun. Dianthus gratianopolitanus ' Eydangeri' is perfect for embankments and rock gardens. It can be accompanied by other flowering cushions such as helianthemums, silenes, dwarf artemisia (Artemisia lanata), wall bellflowers, Caucasian rockcress, Phlox subulata, Delosperma cooperi, or Erigeron karvinskianus and Geranium sanguineum. This plant looks lovely between stones on a wall or pavement, or in a planter. It adapts very well to container gardening.
