First order on Promesse de Fleurs on the advice of my neighbour, extremely disappointed as the plant arrived with several damaged stems. I planted it, but I have doubts about its survival and growth, we'll see...

Description

Jasminum beesianum is a climber nicknamed Red Jasmine. From May to July, this jasmine offers clusters of 3 small carmine red, fragrant flowers. Its flowers measure 1cm (0in) in diameter and are composed of 5 lobes. After flowering, fruits form. They take the form of small black globular berries.

The foliage of Jasminum beesianum is semi-evergreen to deciduous depending on the climate. This light foliage is composed of small leaves that measure from 2 to 5cm (1 to 2in) in length. This jasmine is vigorous and of medium hardiness (tolerates temperatures down to -12°C (10.4°F)). It can reach a height of 3m (10ft) at maturity.

This ornamental plant is native to western China and eastern Tibet. It is a climbing plant that does not have tendrils, which is why it is necessary to train it. It will wrap around its support once trained. It thrives along a sunny wall, on a trellis or pergola, as well as on a fence or around an arbour. You can cultivate Jasminum beesianum in a container.
