Description

The My Colorful Garden Flower Meadow Mix brings together 27 species of generous, charming, and very easy-to-grow annual flowers. In just a few weeks, it creates a small, colourful and harmonious meadow or flower bed that captivates with its freshness and lightness. Sown in well-prepared soil in spring, the 'My Colourful Garden' mix blooms for 3 months without requiring much maintenance, to the delight of the gardener, while preserving biodiversity.

All the flowers in this mix bloom a few weeks after sowing, and they naturalise more or less through spontaneous sowing in the garden, in ordinary, lightened soil. The size of the plants varies from 40 to 80 cm (15.7 to 31.5 in) in height.

Partial composition: Coreopsis tinctoria, Nigella damascena, Lavatera, Gypsophila, etc.

Flower meadows are very trendy. Very easy to grow, this selection will bloom throughout the entire growing season while requiring very little maintenance. Sown in a slightly wild and sunny area, in a flower bed or a flower meadow, the My Colourful Garden mix offers flowers that are often nectar-producing or honey-producing, providing a significant source of food for pollinating insects. Invite nature into your garden: sow our flower mixes along the edge of a path, in a slightly neglected area of the garden, on the slope that borders a sunken path, or at the back of the garden bordering the countryside.

Planting and care

Sowing:

Sow directly in place from March to early June, once the soil has warmed up, in well-dug and worked soil that has been cleared of weeds and raked. Sow finely on the surface of the soil and lightly rake to cover the seeds. Alternatively, sow at a depth of 1.5 mm (0.1 in) in furrows spaced 30 cm (11.8 in) apart. Germination normally takes 14 to 21 days.

Cultivation:

When the young plants appear, water well and remove weeds. Then water once or twice a week for 6 weeks, keeping the soil slightly moist. In autumn, at the end of flowering and after collecting seeds, they can be sown in place after cleaning the area. Water well to make the seeds adhere to the soil.
