Description
The flower mix to repel mosquitoes Pouss'Moustic is preferably sown not far from the house or the terrace, as the fragrant plants that compose it have recognized mosquito repellent qualities. Their flowering will spread from June to September. Directly sow in open ground, in the sun, from April to June.
This mix is composed of 9 different annual species including anise, several varieties of basil, Nepeta... rich in essential oils with repellent qualities. The plants emit a predominantly lemon-scented fragrance, their melliferous and nectariferous flowering feeds pollinators. They have fast growth and flower in the year of sowing, and some can spontaneously reseed in light soil gardens. Their height varies from 20 to 40cm.
This flower mix is suitable for all amateur gardeners. It allows for easy creation of a flower border or a small bed. They can also be sown in a flower pot. While the protection they provide may not be perfect, having these plants on the edge of a window, balcony, or terrace can be a plus.

Planting and care
First, work your soil, remove all the "weeds" and stones, water and then sow the flower mix, taking care to scatter the seeds evenly. Gently press down with the back of a spade, gently water with a watering can to ensure good seed adhesion to the soil. Keep slightly moist. Sowing can be done from April to early June.

It will vary according to where you live:
- In zones 9 to 10 (Italy, Spain, Greece, etc.), flowering will occur about 2 to 4 weeks earlier.
- In zones 6 to 7 (Germany, Poland, Slovenia, and lower mountainous regions), flowering will be delayed by 2 to 3 weeks.
- In zone 5 (Central Europe, Scandinavia), blooming will be delayed by 3 to 5 weeks.
In temperate climates, pruning of spring-flowering shrubs (forsythia, spireas, etc.) should be done just after flowering.
Pruning of summer-flowering shrubs (Indian Lilac, Perovskia, etc.) can be done in winter or spring.
In cold regions as well as with frost-sensitive plants, avoid pruning too early when severe frosts may still occur.
