Description

The Perennial Geranium psilostemon 'Eva' forms a large hemispherical clump with broad palmate leaves, topped by a large number of magenta-pink flowers veined with black throughout the summer.

Also known as Armenian Cranesbill, this perennial geranium is the parent of a very large number of hybrids. It is renowned for its floribundity, great robustness, and unparalleled versatility.

With a low-growing habit, Geranium psilostemon 'Eva' forms beautiful clumps 60cm (24in) in height and width. It blooms from July to September, and the flowering can continue until the first frost, provided that faded flowers are regularly removed.

Easy to grow, it thrives in sunny locations and prefers moist and light soils.

Planting and care

To install your plant, work your soil to a depth of 20 cubic cm, crumbling the soil well and placing a bottom amendment such as dried blood or dehydrated horn in the planting hole. Position your young plant, removed from its pot, by covering the top of the root ball with 3 cm (1in) of soil. Fill in the hole and water generously to eliminate air pockets. In dry weather, it is necessary to water regularly for a few weeks to facilitate root establishment.
