A high-quality, robust professional potato fork. It is equipped with a hardwood handle and a 4-tine blade, forged from carbon steel. The epoxy finish protects the head from scratches and corrosion. It is a very fine hand tool designed to unearth potatoes and other root vegetables without damaging them. Its YD metal and wood handle, specific to British tools, allows for excellent grip.

This Spear & Jackson potato fork is a sturdy tool, made from high-quality materials and very well finished. With its wide, spaced teeth, it is perfect for digging up tubers without damaging them. Equipped with a hardwood handle, an ergonomic metal shaft covered with wood, and a forged carbon steel head with an epoxy finish, it is a garden tool that will satisfy demanding gardeners.

The potato fork is used, as its name suggests, to easily dig up potato tubers without damaging them, but also other vegetable plants (leeks, carrots, turnips), and even to divide large clumps of perennial plants. To sink its tines into the soil near the plants, the user can use the handle with their hands and the head with their foot. A lever movement allows one to lift the tubers and roots stuck in the soil. The spaced teeth hold the potatoes but let the soil pass through. Harvest preferably when the soil is well drained, that is, 2 or 3 days after rain when the soil is not too "sticky". This tool can also be used as a regular fork, to loosen and work the soil before planting, to incorporate manure or compost. It will also make it easy to turn compost or manure piles.

This model consists of a lightweight, weather-resistant hardwood handle. The securely riveted, carbon steel socket protects the handle from any wood rot. It accommodates the 4-tine fork with flat ends and triangular points, forged from carbon steel that is resistant to both shocks and torsion. The epoxy finish, a waterproof, very hard and stainless polymer, effectively protects the metal from scratches, rust, and the attack of naturally occurring oxidizing chemical agents in the soil. The shaft, ending with a typical Y metal and wood handle, enhances the force: this allows the use of one's full weight to sink the fork into the soil. This tool is guaranteed for 10 years by the manufacturer.

Spear & Jackson has been selling tools for gardening, agriculture, and landscaping to both professionals and amateurs since 1760! Today, their range reflects this experience by offering innovative, superior quality products adapted to a wide range of uses.

Directions for use The potato fork is used, as its name suggests, for easily digging up potatoes without damaging them, but also other vegetable plants (leeks, carrots, turnips), and even to divide large clumps of perennial plants. To sink the tines into the soil near the plants, the user can use the handle and the head with the help of a foot. A lever movement allows one to lift the tubers and roots stuck in the soil. The spaced teeth retain the potatoes but let soil pass through. Harvest preferably when the soil is well drained, 2 or 3 days after rain, when the soil is not too "sticky". This tool can also be used as a regular fork, to loosen and work the soil before planting, to incorporate manure or compost. Its head will turn over the compost or manure pile. It can also be used to dig up and transplant plants, remove stones, and bring up pest larvae. Clean your tool after use and store it away from bad weather.
