Protecta's 'Protect + Vegetable Garden' care is a dual-action foliar fertiliser that stimulates and nourishes crops while helping to create an unfavourable medium for underground pests such as wireworms. This inorganic formula based on trace elements comes in the form of a concentrated solution to be diluted in water, used at transplanting by soaking young plants and for maintenance by spraying. Packaged in a 250 ml bottle, this solution can treat up to 250 m² for maintenance.
From planting, vegetables must be protected from diseases and pests such as wireworms (mainly Agriotes lineatus and Agriotes obscurus), whose larvae, called 'wireworms', attack the roots. This liquid concentrate to be diluted serves both as a source of nutrients for the crops and as a physical barrier against pests. It contains two active ingredients:
- Sulphuric anhydride (SO3), at 8.2%: this is a source of sulphur directly assimilable by plants. This element is necessary for plant growth as it is a constituent of proteins. Sulphur also plays an essential role in vitamin metabolism.
- Magnesium oxide (MgO) at 3.3%: this element promotes the assimilation of nitrogen, phosphorus, and sulphur. It helps to enhance flower colour as well as the flavour of fruits and vegetables. This preparation contributes to the physiological adaptation of the plant and helps strengthen it against external aggressions.
Use: Treated area: 250 ml for 250 m² in 25 litres of water
- At planting: Dilute 250 ml in 5 L of water: soak the young plants in the solution and/or apply by watering along the planting row.
- During growth: Dilute 100 ml in 10 L of water and apply by spraying over an area of approximately 100 m². Apply once a month on average.
Use biocidal products with caution. Before any use, read the labels and information concerning the product.

The flowering period indicated on our website applies to countries and regions located in USDA zone 8 (France, the United Kingdom, Ireland, the Netherlands, etc.)
It will vary according to where you live:
- In zones 9 to 10 (Italy, Spain, Greece, etc.), flowering will occur about 2 to 4 weeks earlier.
- In zones 6 to 7 (Germany, Poland, Slovenia, and lower mountainous regions), flowering will be delayed by 2 to 3 weeks.
- In zone 5 (Central Europe, Scandinavia), blooming will be delayed by 3 to 5 weeks.
In temperate climates, pruning of spring-flowering shrubs (forsythia, spireas, etc.) should be done just after flowering.
Pruning of summer-flowering shrubs (Indian Lilac, Perovskia, etc.) can be done in winter or spring.
In cold regions as well as with frost-sensitive plants, avoid pruning too early when severe frosts may still occur.

- In Mediterranean zones (Marseille, Madrid, Milan, etc.), autumn and winter are the best planting periods.
- In continental zones (Strasbourg, Munich, Vienna, etc.), delay planting by 2 to 3 weeks in spring and bring it forward by 2 to 4 weeks in autumn.
- In mountainous regions (the Alps, Pyrenees, Carpathians, etc.), it is best to plant in late spring (May-June) or late summer (August-September).
