This kit consists of:

3 tempered steel anchors to be driven into the ground and evenly distributed around the base of the tree
3 galvanised steel cables that connect the tree to the anchors.
6 wire rope grips that are used to close the loops formed with the cable.
3 red visual protection tubes
3 reinforced protection tubes for the trunk.

Guying trees is essential when they are newly planted in wind-exposed sites. On one hand, because their root system is still insufficiently developed to ensure proper anchoring of the plant in the soil, and on the other hand, because the above-ground vegetation, often disproportionate to this root system, offers significant wind resistance. Guying is a good alternative when a simple staking system is not enough. It is generally installed at the time of planting, for tall subjects (3 m (10 ft) and above) or for all young trees subjected to strong winds. This system remains in place for a minimum of 2 or 3 years, a necessary time for the consolidation of the root layer.

Tips for installation:

The cables are attached to the trunk at a level that represents approximately 2/3 of the tree's height.
The angle between a cable and the trunk should measure between 45° and 60°. To do this, it is necessary to sufficiently distance the anchors from the trunk base, depending on the height of the tree: for a tree 2 to 3 m (7 to 10 ft) tall, allow for 1.5 m (5 ft) of spacing. For a tree 2.5 to 5 m (8 to 16 ft) tall, allow for 2 m (7 ft) of spacing.
