An ultra-durable spade, with a wide semi-polished carbon steel blade and epoxy coating, with a riveted steel socket, equipped with a very strong ash wood handle. It can be used for digging, working and turning any type of soil in small areas. Its YD metal and wood handle, specific to English tools, allows for excellent grip. It is a professional quality hand tool, designed for intensive use.

This ultra-durable Spear & Jackson spade is a professional-quality tool, designed to meet the expectations of the most demanding gardens, whether they are amateurs or landscapers. It has a large, very robust blade, a high-performance attachment socket, a very hard ash handle, and an ergonomic YD wooden handle for a better grip. This spade is perfect for working and turning any type of soil, even heavy and compact soil, preparing planting holes and creating clean edges, but also for various small earthworks.

The spade is an essential tool, designed for lifting, turning, loosening and crumbling the soil deeply, in small areas. Fertiliser (well-decomposed compost, organic fertiliser, horse manure...) can be incorporated into the soil at the same time as it is turned. The spade, with its sharp edges, can also be used for digging, cutting roots, uprooting or removing bushes or certain vegetable plants (leeks, potatoes, carrots, turnips). This model consists of an ash handle, a wood that is both very hard, light, and resistant to bad weather. The socket is a long sleeve, securely riveted to the handle, which accommodates the sharpened blade made of very hard carbon steel, resistant to both shocks and torsion. This blade is polished to half of its height and offers less resistance to penetration into the soil. The upper half is covered with epoxy, a material that protects it from rust, scratches, and naturally occurring oxidizing agents in the soil. The handle, ending with a typical YD handle of English tools, multiplies the force: it allows you to lean on it with your full weight to drive the head into the ground. This tool is guaranteed for 10 years by the manufacturer.
