Description

This mixture of All The Year Round Flowering Cyclamen is a blend of different varieties of perennial cyclamen that extends the flowering period from September to March. This is the perfect choice for decorating the garden in autumn and winter, when the choice of blooms is more limited. Perfectly frost-resistant, these cyclamens will multiply year after year to form a true carpet of flowers.

Preferring semi-shade, cyclamens thrive at the base of bushes, in rockeries, and in less sunny corners of the garden. Their small size is perfect for pot or container cultivation. They are the perfect choice for adorning window boxes and patios in winter.

The dark green leaves marbled with silver-grey are heart-shaped, measuring from 3 to 14cm (1 to 6in). They are carried by long petioles emerging directly from the tuber. The plant has a spreading habit, reaching about 12cm (5in) in height and 15cm (6in) in width.

The flowers of All The Year Round Flowering Mixed Cyclamen are solitary and drooping. The reflexed petals along their stems emerge from the foliage from September to March. The colours range from pale-pink to deep pink. Some flowers in this mixture of garden cyclamens are fragrant.

Water with a fine spray. Cover the tray with a transparent cloche or plastic film to maintain humidity and keep the temperature at 12 to 15°C (53.6 to 59°F). Germination can take up to 30 days. As soon as the seedlings are manageable, transplant them into 7cm (3in) pots where they will develop a small bulb at the base of the leaves. Plant them in their final location in September.
